Artist Statement

My work explores memory, place, movement and perspective. Shaped by my background in architecture, I approach painting through structure, light, space and observation, while allowing each piece to develop through intuition and experimentation.

Working across multiple media, including watercolour and oils, I am drawn to subjects that feel both familiar and often historical in nature. The Tortola sloops are a particular fascination for me. In my latest series, Life from Above, I look to recreate a sense of their journeys, using a cartographic perspective to trace stories of movement, passage and memory.

Each work is an invitation to pause, look again and connect with a remembered place, a feeling or a quiet moment suspended in time.
